  • ISSN (Print) 0024-1148

The journal covers a wide range of achievements in forest science, covering issues of typology, functioning, diversity and dynamics of forest ecosystems. Publications lay the theoretical basis for measures to increase productivity, optimize forestry and preserve the biodiversity of forest ecosystems. The journal's interests include studying the consequences of anthropogenic changes and the mechanisms of forest resistance to such changes. Considering the forest as a complex natural complex that plays an important role in the accumulation of energy and the transformation of matter in the biosphere, the publication provides information on the best achievements of Russian and foreign science on these issues, as well as on the biosphere role of the forest. The journal covers new methods for studying forest cover and its dynamics, including methods of mathematical modeling and the use of satellite monitoring technologies.
